Walking the Path - Day 4
You Can't Walk Without Forgiveness
Today's Theme
You can't walk the path without copious amounts of forgiveness.
Scripture Reading
Ephesians 4:3
striving to preserve the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace:
Walk with Msgr. Don
Jesus revealed something that is absolutely essential if we're going to stay on the path.
We have to live lives of forgiveness.
You can't walk the path without copious amounts of forgiveness.
I think Saint Paul understood that better than almost anyone.
He had spent his life trying to destroy Christians. Yet Christ came to him and said, "I'm not interested in what you've done in the past. I need you. I love you. I've forgiven you."
That's the kind of forgiveness that keeps us walking.
Everything in life may be permissible, Paul says, but not everything is beneficial. Sin simply means we've wandered off the path.
God's invitation is always to come back and keep walking.
Your Reflection Questions
Who do I need to forgive?
Where do I need God's forgiveness?
What burden have I been carrying too long?
Today's Practice
Pray for one person who has hurt you.
Continue the Journey
There is no right or wrong way to make this retreat.
If a particular reflection stays with you, spend as much time with it as you need before moving on. The goal isn't to finish in seven days—it's to become more attentive to God's presence in your life.
If today's reflection spoke to you, consider sharing your thoughts or experience in the comments below. You may find encouragement in the reflections of others, and your own words may become a source of hope for someone else who is walking the same path.
We invite you to journey together.
